In order to keep up with this class and its requirements, I
have had to develop my organizational skills, as well as the skill to think
outside of the box (to come up with methods of handling the assignments we are
given). I have had to learn to think in a different way than I usually do, and
to push through points where I wouldn’t normally in order to develop an idea
fully.
I have not gone through a moment in this class where I have
felt like giving up. I did go through a moment like this with Calculus II,
however. My mom had a big surgery and it resulted in me missing about two weeks
of class to take care of her. I have had to be strong for her, and in doing so,
had to be strong for myself. It made me more resilient.
Three tips I would offer to next semester’s students are to:
-
Make the effort to actually treat this class as
if you are going into business right after with the ideas that you come up
with.
-
START ALL OF YOUR ASSIGNMENTS EARLY. Take the
time to actual think about the assignments and come up with genuine ideas and
responses.
-
This class isn’t stressful as long as you try.
Enjoy the fact that there are no wrong answers.
Hey Josh, I also really developed my organizational skills during this course which led to me keeping up with assignments weekly and making sure I get them all done. I think your second tip is really important because some assignments take a surprisingly long time to complete due to the fact that there is a good amount of thought that needs to go into them.
